Prenatal Nutrients 120 Tablets – Solgar is a multi-nutrient food supplement, formulated for women in the pre-conception, pregnancy and breastfeeding stages. It includes selected vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, with emphasis on folic acid, iron, iodine and vitamin D. In addition, the formula contains no yeast, wheat or dairy derivatives and includes no preservatives or flavourings.

What it is used for

Prenatal Nutrients 120 Tablets – Solgar is intended to complement the diet during periods with specific nutritional needs. Therefore, it provides micronutrients that contribute to the normal functioning of the body.

In particular, folic acid contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. On the other hand, iron participates in the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and contributes to normal oxygen transport. Additionally, vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and to the normal functioning of the immune system. Iodine also contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and to normal thyroid function.

Composition or Main Characteristics

Two tablets per day provide a combination of vitamins, minerals and other components. Thus, the formula includes:

• Calcium (652 mg) and magnesium (227 mg)
• Iron (14 mg, bisglycinate) and vitamin C (50 mg)
• Folic acid (400 µg), vitamin B12 (4 µg) and other B-complex vitamins
• Zinc (7.5 mg), copper (1000 µg) and manganese (0.5 mg)
• Iodine (75 µg), selenium (12.5 µg) and chromium (12.5 µg)
• Vitamin D2 (5 µg) and vitamin E (10 mg a-TE)
• Additional components, such as inositol, choline and an amino acid blend

In addition, the product is indicated as vegetarian and vegan, according to the manufacturer’s information. However, it contains soy in its composition.

Directions for use

Take two (2) tablets per day, preferably with meals. Therefore, the recommended daily dose should be observed and not exceeded. If necessary, take with water and maintain a consistent daily routine.
