Gastopan Plus – 30 tablets – DietMed is a food supplement formulated with plant extracts, a complex of digestive enzymes and biotin. Overall, it was developed to support the normal functioning of digestion and the maintenance of normal mucous membranes, within the context of a varied and balanced diet. In addition, it includes standardised ingredients, which allows for a more consistent composition per intake.

Liquorice contributes to normal digestion. Additionally, biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes. Consequently, the formula fits into routines for digestive support and mucosal integrity.

Composition or Main Characteristics

The formula combines plant extracts and enzymes. However, tolerance may vary from person to person, so the warnings and allergies described should be considered.

• GutGardTM (Glycyrrhiza glabra): dry extract of liquorice with at least 10% flavonoids.
• Ginger (dry extract, at least 5% gingerol).
• Fennel (4:1 dry extract of the fruits).
• Chamomile (dry extract with at least 4% flavonoids).
• DigeZymeTM: enzyme complex with amylase, protease, lactase, lipase and hemicellulase.
• Papain (enzyme derived from papaya).
• Biotin: 50 μg per tablet (100% NRV).

In particular, enzymes help digest different macronutrients. In this way, the combination may be relevant for more complex meals.

Directions for use

Take 1 tablet per day, preferably after lunch. In addition, take with water. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake, unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Important information

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: due to the presence of papain, do not use during pregnancy. On the other hand, due to liquorice, do not use during breastfeeding.

Contraindications and precautions: papaya may be associated with allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Chamomile is not recommended in cases of hypersensitivity to Asteraceae/Compositae and also to Umbelliferae. Liquorice should be avoided by people with cardiovascular disorders. Additionally, it is not recommended in cases of bile duct obstruction, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel diseases and neurological diseases
