Advanced Antioxidant Formula 120 Capsules – Solgar is a food supplement in capsule form, formulated with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and a blend of plant extracts. In general, the composition includes nutrients with antioxidant activity and components that take part in normal physiological functions. In addition, the capsule is of plant origin (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), which makes it easier to integrate into different dietary routines.

What it is used for

Advanced Antioxidant Formula 120 Capsules – Solgar is used as a dietary complement when a combined intake of micronutrients and phytonutrients is desired. Thus, vitamin C and vitamin E contribute to the protection of cells against unwanted oxidation. Additionally, vitamin C contributes to the normal formation of collagen and to the normal functioning of the immune system. On the other hand, zinc, selenium, manganese and copper take part in the normal functioning of various enzyme systems, including antioxidant mechanisms. However, this product does not replace a varied diet.

Composition or Main Characteristics

One capsule of Advanced Antioxidant Formula 120 Capsules – Solgar provides, in particular, vitamins and minerals with nutrient reference values (NRV) indicated on the label. In addition, it includes a blend of standardised extracts, allowing the content of some compounds to be known.

• Vitamin C (calcium L-ascorbate): 250 mg (312.5% NRV)
• Vitamin E (D-alpha tocopheryl acid succinate): 67 mg a-TE (558.5% NRV)
• Vitamin A (beta-carotene and retinyl palmitate): 751 µg RE (94% NRV)
• Riboflavin (vitamin B2): 3 mg (214.5% NRV)
• Zinc 5 mg (50% NRV), Manganese 2 mg (100% NRV), Copper 500 µg (50% NRV), Selenium 25 µg (45.5% NRV)
• Plant extracts: green tea (standardised for polyphenols and EGCG), Ginkgo biloba, milk thistle, Centella asiatica, maritime pine (Pycnogenol®), as well as red wine, rosehip and spirulina
• Amino acids and associated compounds: L-cysteine, taurine and L-glutathione

Directions for use

For adults, take 1 capsule per day, preferably with meals. In this way, taking it on an empty stomach is avoided. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
